sunday blues

Hari ahad dah hampir ke penghujung, dan esok bermulalah minggu baru. Aku rasa macam baru je nak menikmati cuti hujung minggu, sedar-sedar dah habis cuti. Cepatnya masa berlalu, buat hati resah memikirkan hari-hari mendatang.

Tak banyak yang aku buat cuti hujung minggu ni. Selain menonton Pan's Labyrinth Jumaat lepas, dan membaca buku serba sedikit. Selebihnya aku habiskan dengan tidur dan berehat. Sesungguhnya musim-musim sejuk begini adalah masa yang sangat sesuai untuk berhibernasi. Jadi tak hairanlah kalau Elective report yang patut aku sudahkan pun masih terbengkalai. Bila difikirkan, ada jugalah kemajuannya report ku itu. Sekurang-kurangnya rangka dan isinya dah ada, cuma nak mengindahkan bahasanya, yang sangat-sangat lah aku tak gemar. Yang pasti, aku masih ada 3 hari - 3 malam yang sebetulnya, kerana hariku dah pastilah akan kuhabiskan di klinik, sebelum laporan itu kuhantar hari Rabu nanti. Kemudian, aku kena berhempas pulas pulak menyiapkan SSC yang perlu kuhantar dalam masa 2 minggu lagi. Hai, tak habis-habis dengan esei. Leceh betul!

Tadi kami ke rumah Ha, makan-makan sebelum ibunya berangkat pulang ke Malaysia Jumaat ini. Penuh jugalah perutku. Kalau ikutkan hati, memang aku nak makan lagi, tapi entah kenapa kebelakangan ini aku macam kurang selera hendak makan. Penat sangat agaknya. Entahlah. Fiona kata, mungkin sebab aku banyak sangat berfikir hingga tak lalu makan dan tak lena tidur. Tapi, tak lena pun, sampai tengah hari juga aku tidur hujung-hujung minggu macam ni. Kenapa ye agaknya.. hmmm.

Panjang pulak bebelan aku hari ni. Tengkuk dan badan pun dah sakit. Aku nak membaca sikit sebelum tidur.

Pan's Labyrinth

Bought a new eye-liner on the way back from Keighley today. Told Fi that Farid, Kamarul and a few others are going to watch Casino Royale tonight. Since I am not a big fan of Bond, I didn't really feel like watching it. But I told Fi that I want to watch the Pan's Labyrinth, which advert I saw on tv while watching LOTR last Sunday. It so happened that the review came out on Metro this morning, and after reading the review she said she wanna watch it as well. So I said, okay, but not today though.

But suddenly we thought, oh well, might as well go and watch it tonight. I mean, yes, I've got things to do, but I prolly won't do them anyway. So we went for the 6pm show. Bought the tickets, then we went to McD for burgers since I'm so hungry - got a free hamburger with my NUS card - which I offered to her (she's so gonna blame me if she put on any weight :p) since I obviously cannot eat that.

Anyway, so we went, watch the advert and trailers and the certificate came out. You know, the cert they show before a film started - and strangely the title was written in 2 languages. Hmm that's a bit weird - plus the cinema wasn't full either, considering that the film just came out yesterday, I was expecting a bit more people. Then the film started, in Spanish, with subtitles, I might add.

Surprise, surprise! No wonder not that many people come and watch it. The film is in flashback mode, and I think it was brilliant. It's like Narnia cross over with some military stuff and a touch of horror. And I think it's brilliant!! Strongly recommended, but I have to advise you not to bring any kids with you. Yes, the main character is a kid, but, the movie is kind of disturbing in some ways - or as Fiona said it 'the most disturbing film I've seen in a while'..hehhe.. But I think it's not as disturbing as Exorcist. No regret at all. I'm more satisfied with this movie that the last Harry Potter actually (and I'm a big fan of Harry Potter).

hehe.. I think enough advertisement for today, hmmmm... maybe they should consider paying me for this. What do you think??

chocolate cake

Tengah tunggu kek cekelat dalam oven. Another half an hour and it shud be ready. Yummy!! Tatau lah kenapa tiba-tiba rasa nak makan kek cekelat. Went to town with Nisa this afternoon. Takde lah nak beli apa pun, saje je jalan-jalan. Di tengah-tengah hujan yang agak lebat. Gloomy British weather, as usual. Then, on the way back, tiba-tiba rasa nak buat kek cekelat, so pegi lah Morrisons membeli all the ingredients. Siap dengan topping sekali. Hopefully it'll turn out okay. Kalau sedap, esok boleh laa bawak for my groupmates. hehehh.

I've got two essays that need to be due in a few weeks. One's in next Wednesday, and the other one in 2 weeks time. Malas betul lah. Rasa macam baru je hari tu siap satu esei, dah kena buat lagi. Dah lah aku ni memang malas nak buat esei. Adoilah. I was supposed to do one of them last weekend, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I ended up reading instead. Sigh. How annoying. Not to mention that I need to prepare handout for presentation this Friday. Baru taip a few sentences. Think I'll finish that one first, then start my Elective report. One step at a time..heheh

Oh dear, am having headache now. I need to wash my hair, sebab tadi kena hujan. Otherwise, I'll be down with fever soon. Juga bau-bauan dari 5-6 jenis perfume di pelbagai bahagian tangan sungguhlah tidak membantu mengurangkan sakit kepala. Was trying to decide which one I should buy for the hantaran. Now that Christmas is near, I better make up my mind, so that I can get the best deal masa boxing day nanti. I can see my money flying away....

i'm loving it!!

I just started my GP placement this week. It's only been 2 days, but I'm enjoying it. Although travelling in the cold weather everyday is not really in my fun list, but hey, you can't have everything, can you? At least they have a Halal pizza shop near by, and the GP is only like 5 mins from town. Not to mention that we have every Wednesday off. SO yeah, I'm happy :)

Went to the pizza shop with Fi for lunch yesterday, then went shopping. She almost bought a new shirt, which I think look very nice on her, but she wasn't convince. heheh. So she didn't buy it at the end. Also had teaching with another group yesterday, and oh God, how they talk!! I mean, it was kind of fun at first, but after a while, I just think that maybe they should a bit more serious. But I supposed the topic of breast and rectal examination maybe didn't help much. hehh. And they are guys. Except for a girl that we think does talk a lot. I was shutting off after a while, since she just couldn't stop talking. aiyoo..

I mean, I talk a lot, but you know, there are times when you just want to sit there in companiable silence - just you and your thoughts. I don't think she knows that. I mean, she just talks, man. Oh btw, do u know that on average people can talk for 90 secs straight before they actually run out of things to say, or needed to take a breath. Seems like longer for some people, heheh. ;)

I supposed he could be rather sweet when he wanted to, although I do think that he's too mengada-ngada for his own good. hahah :p

I am dying

I have a case presentation on Friday afternoon. It was scheduled for tomorrow, but for some reason they have to move it to Friday. And I was gonna skive on Friday. tsskk..

I'm just so stressed out about the whole thing. It's just so many to learn and I don't think I can remember it well enough to answer the questions that might come with it. I mean, face it, I can't even remember what I read like 10 minutes ago. Let alone all the different syndromes whatever. I think my brain is leaking as well. It's just too much information to fit into my tiny little brain cells. It seems like, when somethings came in, certain things came out. Some of the cells are probably dead already. Haha!!

Not good?? Yes, I know. But oh well, I supposed, what I can do now is just try to retain whatever I can and make sense of whatever it is that I'm supposed to make sense of.

a new beginning

I've been thinking of moving into a new home for a while now, but I'm just not sure whether I'll be able to maintain it properly. I mean, the one I have now is like a rented one you know, and I kinda of got use to it now. I'm still using it now, but I think, it's time to move forward, don't you think?

And I need the change, desperately. If only changing life is as easy as changing blogs.
