so many to do.. so little time
but i supposed i'd never have enough time anyway

came back from aberdeen, happy and sad
somehow 5 days is too short when you spend it with the right people :)
miss them already
it was fun indeed
didn't really go to many places
just hanging out and chilling
masak dan makan
berborak dan berborak lagi
plus helped shauqi with his revision
made some new friends
i even thought of staying a bit longer
but I can't

Need to go down South this friday
planned to go on tuesday, but have to go earlier
can't even meet Fats since she's on leave this week
She asked me to go to Manchester next weekend
hope I'll be able to go and see her then

Now I feel like I don't wanna go home too soon
It's another big step
and I am so not ready
but I never really was anyway

ermm if only I can stop time and enjoy this moment a bit longer

post-exam blues..

hmm..

it's 4 days post-exams,
it's strange not having to do any work
it's weird not having deadlines for anything
I know, I'm not hardworking
I played around, I chilled a lot
but I always have this thing at the back of my head
that thing called 'Conscience' to catch up with work

But it's a good feeling
I felt like I wanna jump, scream, or just go crazy
after that last day of OSCE
I can't stop smiling all the way back home
not because I did well
each day I kept finding those mistakes that I did
or those things that I shouldn't or should've done
but I'm just so relieved
that it's over..
at least for the time being
and nothing that I can do to change it
except for praying
that I did enough, insyaAllah

I can't believe how tired I was
my body ached everywhere
it's like I aged 50 years in like half-an hour..
Penat ok!!

reason to smile ^_^

Despite the fact that finals is less than 3 days away,
and I hardly remember anything that I've been revising,
Also the fact that I feel the very the stupid during study group with the girls,
I was so stress I just had to cut my own hair,
And forced myself to get out of bed..
I've been smiling all day since I got these :)
More reasons for me to pass the exams, aite?
To you, my love,
Thanks, for the flowers, the support, the doas,
thanks for everything..
And thanks to the delivery girl ;)
I heart you both :D
Doakan saya :)
"kau membuat ku merasa hebat
kerna ketulusan cintamu
ku merasa teristimewa
hanya..hanya kerna, kerna cinta,
kau beri padaku sepenuhnya
buat kuselalu merasa..bererti...
tak pernah kurasakan
damai sedamai bersamamu
tak ada yang bisa
yang mungkin kan mengganti tempatmu.."

..a little self-reflection..

Your Five Factor Personality Profile

Extroversion:

You have medium extroversion.
You're not the life of the party, but you do show up for the party.
Sometimes you are full of energy and open to new social experiences.
But you also need to hibernate and enjoy your "down time."

*heheh..sangat betul. i can shut down whenever I want to. I can build a wall and detach myself. I also have selective deafness :D*

Conscientiousness:

You have medium conscientiousness.
You're generally good at balancing work and play.
When you need to buckle down, you can usually get tasks done.
But you've been known to goof off when you know you can get away with it.

*hehe not sure about balancing work and play. I think I play more than what's healthy*

Agreeableness:

You have high agreeableness.
You are easy to get along with, and you value harmony highly.
Helpful and generous, you are willing to compromise with almost anyone.
You give people the benefit of the doubt and don't mind giving someone a second chance.

*urmm.. i do tolerate people better than my close friends, so i guess that's true*

Neuroticism:

You have medium neuroticism.
You're generally cool and collected, but sometimes you do panic.
Little worries or problems can consume you, draining your energy.
Your life is pretty smooth, but there's a few emotional bumps you'd like to get rid of.

*yep, I am a worrier, although I tried not to show it too much :p*

Openness to experience:

Your openness to new experiences is medium.
You are generally broad minded when it come to new things.
But if something crosses a moral line, there's no way you'll approve of it.
You are suspicious of anything too wacky, though you do still consider creativity a virtue.

*heheh.. i guess this goes with my agreeableness kot??*

heheh.. found this test at leeds blog while bloghopping. thought I give it a go ;)

..it's not just my furniture you rearrange...

Music and lyrics was so sweet and witty. Went to watch it wif fiona and Jijejah last weekend, and if you enjoy chick-flicks then this is a must. hugh grant's voice was pretty good, and the songs were all catchy, although I have to admit that the lyrics were a bit weird. Like 'love autopsy' and "Pop! Goes my heart".

The story started with a video clip of 'Pop! goes my heart' done in 80s style, complete with ruffle shirts and so-called Pop! dance. Then came the story. I've always been a fan of Hugh, not because of his looks, but because I found his all-over-the-place character endearing. hehhehe. And the songs, I can't stop humming it for the past few days!! Especially the main song "Way back into love". Nice!

Anyway, need to get back to revision. Got a case presentation tomorrow. My 20 years old patient got loin pain, which sounded like a renal colic, so have to read up on the differential diagnoses. Mr Fawole is doing our assessment tomorrow, and hopefully he'll be nice to us. He said he likes our group anyway, so that's a good sign, ain't it? Hope he won't ask us difficult questions. And I supposed he's not as scary as Mr Macklin.

Anyway, wish me luck!!

i've been tagged..

Rules of the game: Each player of this game starts out by telling 6 weird things about themselves on their own blog, as well as state the rules clearly. At the end, you will need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list out their names. After you do that, leave them a comment on their blogs letting them know you tagged them.

Ok, mala tagged me yesterday, and I was gonna do it straight away, but I can't really think of any of my weirdness or craziness (I quite like to think of myself as level-headed, very sensible girl..ahaha :p). But then again, after thinking about it, I guess, I'm a bit weird afterall :p

So here goes:

1. I sometimes come out with a standard textbook or shall I say, classic malay words like 'gundah', during conversations. Sometimes I even come out with a proper pepatah/ peribahasa yang jarang digunakan just to get my point across. I also pick up falsafah from storybooks and use them as advises to my friends (especially all those love philosophies) heheh.

2. It's strange to know that my bestfriend like to 'mencangkung' when she's writing, because I myself have this habit of mencangkung di atas kerusi, or anywhere really especially when I'm doing work, or just using my laptop. I found it most comfortable, and I don't usually realise that I'm doing it kecuali bila dah kena tegur. It's not a proper mencangkung though, becos my butt will be on the chair - it's like halfway between mencangkung and sitting down.

3. when I go to sleep or lie down, I'll have to put my necklace on the bridge of my nose, as I'd feel strangled if it's around my neck. So, I dont really like wearing those little necklaces that sits right around the neck. I like the chain to be a bit longer so it can reach my nose.

4. I have cold feet. I wear socks pretty much all the time. I doesn't matter if I'm wearing sleeveless or a nightie, I have to wear socks. Despite the lack of body fat, I can withstand cold temperatures. As long as I have my socks, I'll survive.

5. I love reading. Ever since I learned how to read, I read pretty much everything. I used to read articles from kertas bungkus nasik lemak. It's a shame they don't use newspaper anymore.
6. I'm a bit paranoid, and always imagine having a terrible accident. Like if I'm climbing up the stairs, I'll imagine myself falling down from the highest step and break my neck. Or if I'm walking on a slippery road, I'll imagine myself slipped and get run down by a bus or something. It makes me wince, and I'll have to close my eyes to get rid of it.

That's it. I'm breaking the rules now. I won't tag anyone ;). Feel free to do it if you're interested :)

..kiss, kiss my lips when the sugar is gone..

remember I told you I wanted to bake a cake the other day, tapi tak cukup bahan? (resepi curik kat mesra.net)

KEK CEKELAT YANG SEDAP, ENAK LAGI MUDAH (dengan jari Jiejah sebagai penambah perisa :p)

Bahan untuk di ayak:

1 3/4 cawan tepung
1 camca teh baking powder
1 camca teh soda bikarbonat
1 camca teh nescafe
3/4 cawan serbuk koko

Bahan-bahan lain:

2 biji telur
2 cawan gula castor
1 cawan susu sejat/ fresh milk
1 cawan minyak masak
1 cawan air mendidih

Cara-cara:

1. pukul telur dan gula sampai kembang

2. masukkan susu, minyak and bahan-bahan yang dah di ayak tadi

3. last sekali, masukkan air mendidih dan kacau sampai rata.

tag.tag.tag

Mala tagged me aaaagess ago. here goes:

appearance:
depends on my mood. I prefer jeans and t-shirts, tapi sekarang sedang berusaha untuk jadi lebih feminine; hence the dresses and skirts :p. I won't miss the chance to wear baju kurung and kebaya too (memandangkan I always feels a bit too dressed-up if I wear baju kurung to the wards here - so only pakai during raya/events sahaja)

family/home life:
The eldest daughter with 4 elder brothers, a younger brother and a younger sister plus 2 sis-in-laws, a nephew, a niece and another one on the way :p. I got sick of them from time to time, but couldn't imagine living without the chaos - it'll be too quiet to my liking. Thanks to the distance, absence does make the heart grows fonder ;).

school/work:
I'm a proud Srikandi. Didn't really like it when I was there, but if I didn't go there, I don't think I'll be here. KMNS was okay, although I only spent a semester there. KMYS was better, very mewah compared to STF and KMNS(obviously). I'm a miserable final year student-doctor. and working life?? It's so scary I don't want to think about it just yet.

embarrassment:
sangat banyak. won't waste my and your time on it :p

traveling:
I've been to rome, venice, prague, amsterdam, germany, netherlands, vatican city, monaco, france, swiss, paris, london, and not to mention Kuala Lumpur.

experiences:
life is a roller coaster - although I do think my ride is not as bad as some people, but I did get my share. the end of one phase is the beginning of another, innit?

relationships:
currently engage to my first love (if u can call it love - we're still figuring out what the word means). my only experiences on the matter is from books or peoples' - but strangely enough people do ask my opinions about it. hmmmm....

crimes:
too many, and as mala put it : buat apa membuka pekung di dada, kan?

honesty:
is the best policy. But do think about it, before you spill out anything. sometimes secrets are better, but lies are not.

drugs/alcohol:
I'm a doctor- so I do believe in drugs. legally I mean. I don't believe in alcohol consumptions. moderately or not.

death and suicide:
death is a promise but suicide is not an option.

materialism:
they are important, but not essentials. learn to be thankful, but that doesn't mean you don't have to work for them. yes, ulat dalam batu pun boleh hidup, but that's because they eat the smaller bacteria-plankton-ulat whatever in the batu. they work to find it. you're a human with a higher intellectual function - the brain is not for decoration. use it!!

5 things i would do if i were a millionaire:
take my parents to Hajj with me, buy a house, buy a car, give some to my parents, spend some, save some.

5 bad habits:
procrastination. picking my nails when I'm bored. I like everything within reach;hence explained the untidiness of my room. sticking out my tongue, esp to younger kids like my nephew - which pisses my sis-in-law. laziness.

5 things i hate doing:
cleaning up. laundry. revision. waiting. things that I really have to do, which I haven't done because I procrastinate.

5 things i'll never do:
drink alcohol. smoking. suicide. that's all I can think of for the mo'

5 things i regret doing:
can't think of any

5 fave toys or things:
spongebob. my w550i. my laptop. the telly. my new make-up set :p

5 people this tag goes to:
whoever feels like doing it ;)

prague.prag.praha.praga

okay.. I did update on this last night, tapi entah kenapa, dia tak keluar pun kat blog. Macam dah save dah semalam, tp macam tak check, so tak tau lah mana pegi entry tu. Or maybe, aku terdelete entry tu by mistake. Sigh. Anyways, can't be bothered to write again, and pictures do speak louder than words. It was great fun. Despite the fact that the flight was delayed for 3 hours and we got there 5 hours later without luggage - I might add. But we were two happy bunnies. Time and money well spent ;)

Pan's Labyrinth

Bought a new eye-liner on the way back from Keighley today. Told Fi that Farid, Kamarul and a few others are going to watch Casino Royale tonight. Since I am not a big fan of Bond, I didn't really feel like watching it. But I told Fi that I want to watch the Pan's Labyrinth, which advert I saw on tv while watching LOTR last Sunday. It so happened that the review came out on Metro this morning, and after reading the review she said she wanna watch it as well. So I said, okay, but not today though.

But suddenly we thought, oh well, might as well go and watch it tonight. I mean, yes, I've got things to do, but I prolly won't do them anyway. So we went for the 6pm show. Bought the tickets, then we went to McD for burgers since I'm so hungry - got a free hamburger with my NUS card - which I offered to her (she's so gonna blame me if she put on any weight :p) since I obviously cannot eat that.

Anyway, so we went, watch the advert and trailers and the certificate came out. You know, the cert they show before a film started - and strangely the title was written in 2 languages. Hmm that's a bit weird - plus the cinema wasn't full either, considering that the film just came out yesterday, I was expecting a bit more people. Then the film started, in Spanish, with subtitles, I might add.

Surprise, surprise! No wonder not that many people come and watch it. The film is in flashback mode, and I think it was brilliant. It's like Narnia cross over with some military stuff and a touch of horror. And I think it's brilliant!! Strongly recommended, but I have to advise you not to bring any kids with you. Yes, the main character is a kid, but, the movie is kind of disturbing in some ways - or as Fiona said it 'the most disturbing film I've seen in a while'..hehhe.. But I think it's not as disturbing as Exorcist. No regret at all. I'm more satisfied with this movie that the last Harry Potter actually (and I'm a big fan of Harry Potter).

hehe.. I think enough advertisement for today, hmmmm... maybe they should consider paying me for this. What do you think??
