Apple Pie

Got this recipe from suraya like a year ago. But due to unforeseen circumstances (ie like the oven is not working, then I'm too busy working) I haven't actually tried it. But I guess, now it's time. I put it here, so that I'll remember to get the ingredients when I go out tomorrow and hopefully bake it by the end of the week ..ngehehehe..
Post-exam ?? ermm still not entirely sure how I feel, so will write about it later lah. ;)

Apple Pie Recipe

300g Flour
200g Butter
100g Sugar
1 egg
Cinnamon
4-5 Bramley Apples
100g Sugar

For crust
• Mix butter and flour – cut the butter in small chunks
• Whisk the egg and put most of it in the bowl w butter and flour and sugar (100g)
• Mix everything together till it’s a big ball
• Spread flour on workplace
• Take of the dough and roll it flat using a rolling pin covered in flour
• Cover bottom of the pie with dough and put the rest aside.
• Take a fork and make a few little dents on the bottom surface
• The remaining flour of the portion is used to line the sidewall of the baking tray
• Use the remaining of the dough ball to make the top once the feeling is poured in


For filling
• Peel & slice the apple into small chunks
• Put them in a pot and add sugar
• Cook the mixture and add cinnamon as the cooking process continues
• Duration for cooking is till the apple are soft but firm

Top of crust
• Using the rest of the dough, make the top part of the crust
• Any pattern will do
• Once done, use the remaining of the whisked egg and spread it on top of the crust


Bake it in an oven for approximately 45 – 50 minutes at or gas mark 7 for gas oven. Once it is baked, leave it out to cool and crust hardened."~ The Apple Pie Recipe by The Apple Pie Maker
