I am currently in OT, doing my elective list for the month. (read:extra money :p). Got to do Eye cases which I don't like because;
1) I cannot see what they're doing hence I cannot predict when they're going to finish.
2) I don't have easy access to my precious ETT tube as it's part of the surgical field and draped. It's headache if for some reason the patient can't be ventilated, I'm screwed.
3) it's boring due to 1)
4) they always said "lagi setengah jam, when it actually means - maybe lg 1 ke 2 jam)
but then, it's not like trauma cases where your heart will pop out any minute, and your heart rate is as fast as the patient's bleeding on the table.
I kind of like it here, being in this dept. There are busy days, but they're better compared to others (i think). but shall I be an anaesthetist? urmmm, studying is hard work and it is actually one of the most stressful job in medicine. Takkan nak jd Michael Jackson, mati sbb stress so, guna propofol (that's one of our anaesthetic drug). nak sgt tdo, kan dah tdo trus. tskk
Sebenarnya cita2 saya sekarang, pada saat dan ketika ini adalah untuk jadi WAHM. bukak sebuah kafe kecil, combine dgn kedai buku atau butik barangan bayi. dan boleh suka2 goyang kaki. panggil org keja, cuma pantau dari jauh. that is if I have the capital lah kan. Siapa mau join, mari! ;))
