go green

i have been wanting to blog about this for a while now, but didn't have the time.

During the last month of my pregnancy, i was put in charged of the anaesthetic clinic. Having quite a lot of free time, ( u see, it was one of the quiet months, just before puasa and raya), i spent a lot of my time surfing for baby stuff. All that I need and want but don't need. heh. So I came across cloth diapers and cloth pads.

I like the idea of using cloth - mainly because it's money-friendly, and eco-friendly (yeah right, mcm laa selama ni ecofriendly sgt pun :p). Also the fact that they're cute on babies' bum. hehe. So, after much thinking and discussing with hubby (I don't have internet banking or ct card, so kna ada green light from him before buying things online) we decided to buy some cloth diapers to try.

Quite easy to use, I might say, but sadly I hardly use them sbb tak sempat nak cuci. huhuhu. So can't really comment on it.

Actually I want to write about cloth pads. Gross?? I initially thought so too. I was a bit eww when I first read about it, but I had a very bad rashes with one of the maternity pads I used, I decided to give it s try. Well, it's not so hard to wash, saves money and it comes in cute prints too!! So, why not kan? A bit pricey, but if u calculate the amount of pads/ liners (esp if u're like me who have pv discharges or keputihan) u're going to use in the next couple of years, it still come out cheaper. besides, u can ask for discounts if u buy in bulks and can choose the prints u want. :))

I bought 1 trial package of pads which consist of 2 medium pads and 2 panty liners and extra 2 panty liners from mum7kids. And the verdict? I like it. Saves me money from buying panty liners each month. Oh, and my pv discharges reduce quite significantly also. So, yeah it is well worth it.

The pads I have yet to try since I haven't got my period since my pregnancy. But I did promote it to some of my colleagues and she said the pads were very comfy. Even her MIL is interested.

The washing up is easy too. I usually just remove the stain and wash it in the washing machine. macam basuh underwear biasa. So, takde laa susah pun. :)
